ADVANCED TRAINING CENTRE

EVERSLEY / FARNBOROUGH

WHAT IS THE ADVANCED TRAINING CENTRE

The Prodigy Advanced Training Centre (ATC) is designed to give young players dedicated time to develop their individual skills and understanding that can sometimes be difficult to focus on during normal team training.

Our aim is to give players more touches and more confidence to make them better players

Prodigy Advanced Training Centre is a specialist football development programme created for enthusiastic young players who love football, want to improve and are ready to take their game to the next level. Designed to complement grassroots football, our sessions provide players with additional high-quality coaching in an environment where development, confidence and enjoyment come first.

Our training focuses on the key foundations of player development, including ball mastery, dribbling, 1v1 attacking and defending, turning, receiving, finishing, decision-making and small-sided games. Sessions are designed to challenge players appropriately while encouraging them to be brave on the ball, try new things and express themselves without fear of making mistakes.
At Prodigy, our aim isn't simply to create better footballers. We want to develop confident, creative and intelligent young players who genuinely love playing the game.

Whether your child already plays for a grassroots team or simply can't get enough football, Prodigy provides the additional training, individual attention and positive environment to help them develop their ability and unlock their potential.

What do we focus on?

  • Ball mastery – becoming comfortable and confident with the ball at both feet

  • First touch & receiving – controlling the ball effectively and preparing for the next action

  • Passing & combination play – improving technique, weight of pass and awareness

  • Dribbling & 1v1 ability – developing the confidence to take players on and protect the ball

  • Turning & changing direction – learning how to escape pressure and create space

  • Finishing – improving technique and confidence in front of goal

  • Scanning & awareness – encouraging players to look, think and make decisions before receiving the ball

  • Small-sided games – giving players opportunities to put their skills into practice in realistic situations

What are the benefits of attending our ATC?

Regularly attending Prodigy ATC can help players develop:

Better technique
More quality touches and repetition can improve a player's control, passing, dribbling, finishing and overall ability with the ball.

Better decision-making
Players are encouraged to scan, recognise situations and choose the right action rather than simply being told what to do.

Greater confidence
As players become more comfortable with the ball, they're more likely to express themselves and try things during matches.

Improved awareness
Players learn to recognise space, pressure, teammates and opponents before they receive the ball.

Confidence in 1v1 situations
We encourage players to be brave in possession and develop the ability to beat, protect the ball from or escape an opponent.

Individual progression
Every child develops at a different rate. TDC provides additional opportunities to practise, learn and improve without the pressure of match results.

Enjoyment of the game
Most importantly, we want players to love having the ball at their feet. Sessions are challenging and purposeful, but they should also be enjoyable.

Our Values

We want to ensure that we use our values in the best way, and that is to develop people as well as developing players. We believe these 5 values is what can enhance every players development and ability, but also teaching them how these can be used in all of what we do, whether it be in the classroom, on the playground or with our grassroots teams and beyond.
Every session our topic will link to how we use these 5 values to help us understand & develop in a technical, tactical, physical & psychological way.

Further Information

Our ATC sessions run on a subscription basis with payments taken on the 1st of each month. Pricing ranges between £30 - £40 per month depending on venue & age group. Players will receive a custom designed Prodigy Training Kit to wear when attending ATC sessions which will also be used for any additional sessions/games (see more below). Should you wish to no longer continue, then a 1 month notice period must be given.
Spaces are limited for each session to ensure we are able to offer the high quality session each child deserves. Once spaces are full, we advise parents to join the wait list for two reasons; 1 - the waitlist will be on a first come, first serve order.  2 - Should there be a waitlist with sufficient amount of children then we will look to open up another session on the same evening.

Additional Oppourtunities

As a part of being in the Prodigy ATC sessions, we are also able to offer additional opportunities to children on these services to represent Prodigy Football. These may be through tournaments, friendly matches against grassroots clubs & other local businesses or even against professional clubs. In the past year we have built relationships with different professional clubs and have had the opportunity to travel and play them at their training ground.
