WOKINGHAM CAMP
The Coombes Primary School
What's a day look like?
Our day starts at 9am each day and finished at 4pm. Throughout the course of the day children will participate in a variety of different sports, if they are on our multi-sports camp or will develop and learn a variety of different footballing skills if on our football camp. We schedule in time for a morning snack, lunch & afternoon snack as well as some free play time after lunch so children can mingle with other on the opposite camp or in different groups.

Our Groups

Children aged 5 - 7 (Years R to 2) make up our mini-ballers group. Across the 3 days on camp, children work on the development of the core skills; passing, dribbling, shooting and small game scenarios such attacking & defending 1v1s.

Children aged 7 - 10 (Years 3 to 5) make up the elite-ballers group. 95% of children on our camp have some footballing experience by this age whether that is through teams, school clubs or PE lessons; so our aim with this group is to develop the core skills further but teach the 'when we use it'. This age group will work on game scenarios from 1v1s, 2v2 & attacking overloads as well as playing a mixture of games from 3-a-side to
6-a-side.

Our pro-ballers group is made up of children aged 10 - 13 (Years 6 to 8). We still focus on developing the key skills, and in more challenging ways, but we also need to know the when & why we do such things and then put them into game like scenarios. Our 'Pro's' will also be coached around learning offsides, movement patterns & out of possession scenarios alongside development of Speed, Agility, Co-ordination & Balance. Matches range from 5-a-side to 7-a-side and sometime 9 where possible.
Special Feature Activities on Camp
